Which of these is your podcast alter ego?
Issue 22 of The Daily Drip is brought to you by mowPod, the largest driver of engaged listeners to many of the most prominent podcasts in the US. Learn more about mowPod here.
Hi there,
We don’t know if you’ve noticed but each of the 3 tips with your Daily Drip also has a link to more related tips! For example, today’s edition has 3 tips but links to 18 more! You’re welcome.
TIP 1 - Incorporate a playful personality into your podcast
Your alter ego has entered the chat. Bring back the fun to your podcast by identifying a playful personality to take on and build into the structure of your show. For example, your playful personality might be The Joker and you can build in a segment where you share a humorous happening of the week.
TIP 2 - Focus your podcast description on “Why” and “WIIFM”
It needs to answer two basic questions:
“Why should I listen to this podcast?”— Emphasize either the “I” or the “this” in this question
“What's in it for me?” (WIIFM)— How will your audience get PROFIT (popularity, relationships, opportunities, fun, income, or tangibles) from your podcast?
TIP 3 - Ask past guests to put their interviews with you onto their podcast feed
If you’ve featured a guest on your interview podcast, you’ve already done them a favor. So it’s not too much to go back to them and ask them to put your interview with them on their feed. This gives them more content to share with their audience and you reach more people!
