How to get sales on a podcast without feeling sales-y

Hi there!

Another day, another drip. It’s time for today’s podcast growth trip.

(Yeah, we’re gunna stick to our day job 😑)

TIP 1 - Feeling sales-y? Ditch the pitch.

Instead of perfecting your ‘this is what we do’ pitch, have a list of 5-10 evidence-based valuable ideas that listeners can implement immediately for a quick win. This little win will encourage your ideal buyers to pay you for the transformation.

TIP 2 - In the last 2 years the percentage of active podcasts has dropped from 34% to 18%

2020 was a bumper year for podcast growth as podcasters found more time and space to create leading to a podcasting growth spiral the likes of which we’ve never seen.

But, now – with many folks back to “normal” work and life – a lot of those podcasters have lost enthusiasm, and podcasting projects have been abandoned.

TIP 3 - Show (notes) me the money!

If you don’t have well-crafted show notes, you’re leaving money on the table. They let you add even more value to your listeners with visual and written content and they also help you be found by new audiences who are already searching for the information you share on your podcast. SEO baby!
