TIP 1 - Stop lying about whether you really know your audience
The biggest lie podcasters tell is: “I know my audience.” We’re all guilty so let’s just accept the fact and go deeper. How? One good question (well two) to ask a listener is: How would you describe a friend or family member who would like this show? How would you describe the show for this person?
TIP 2 - Going on another podcast as a guest? Ask the host who their ideal listener is
If this listener also fits your avatar, this is a great point to prepare for the interview by planning what specific value you can add. If the listener doesn’t really fit your avatar, this is a great prompt to consider whether you are being intentional with your podcast guesting.
TIP 3 - Celebrate a win you had this week
As cheesy as it might seem, you gotta stop to smell the roses. Think of one win you this week with your podcast. Got it? Good. Now take a moment to bask in how awesome you are :)
